Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or ask Heritage Altoona Spray Foam Insulation for an estimate, schedule work or pay for work. By doing any of those things, you agree to these terms.

If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us. You can still call us at (814) 369-6056 with questions about these terms before you decide.

What we do

Heritage Altoona Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor in Altoona, PA. We install and remove insulation, air seal attics and other areas, and put down vapor barriers for homes and commercial buildings in Altoona and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page, or start from the home page to see our services.

The information on this site is general. It describes the kinds of work we do and how that work usually goes, but every building is different, so the written estimate for your property is what sets out the actual work.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, including the size of the area, what's already installed, how easy it is to reach and the material you choose.

Some conditions only show up once work starts, such as wet or damaged material under what's visible, hidden gaps, or framing problems. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop and talk with you before doing the added work, and we won't charge for it without your approval.

An estimate stays valid for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it because material costs and schedules change.

Scheduling and cancellation

We schedule work once you accept an estimate. We'll give you a start date and an idea of how long the crew will be on site, but weather, material delivery and conditions found on the job can move those dates, and we'll tell you as soon as we know of a change.

Some products, such as spray foam, require everyone in the house to stay out for a period set by the maker's instructions. We'll tell you before the job when you need to leave and when people and pets can come back, and you agree to follow that guidance.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or arrived on site, you may be responsible for costs we've already taken on, as stated in your written estimate or agreement.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, progress payments and the final balance, are listed in your written estimate or agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is brought current. You're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent Pennsylvania law allows.

Our guarantee and warranty limits

We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back to look at it and make it right.

Insulation materials carry the warranties their makers provide, and we'll pass along that information for the products we install. Apart from our satisfaction guarantee and any written warranty in your agreement, we make no other promises, including promises about a specific drop in your power bill or a specific comfort result, because those depend on the house, how it's used and the weather.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from later work by others, roof or plumbing leaks, pests, storms or changes made to the area after we finish.

Limitation of liability

To the extent Pennsylvania law allows, our total responsibility for any claim tied to our work or this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the work involved. We aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a room or lost income.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Pennsylvania law that can't be limited by agreement.

Resolving a dispute

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please contact us first so we can try to fix it directly, since most issues are settled that way. If we can't agree after talking it through in good faith, either of us may take the matter to the courts described below.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any court case about them will be heard in the state courts that cover Blair County, Pennsylvania, unless the law requires a different place.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the new version takes effect when it's posted on this page. The terms in place when you accepted your estimate still apply to that job unless we both agree in writing to change them.
